AFS Intercultural Programs (or AFS, originally the American Field Service) is an international youth exchange organization. It consists of over 50 independent, not for profit organization. In 2015, 12,578 students travelled abroad on an AFS cultural exchange program, between 99 countries.
Our school is a member of AFS which focuses on Inter Cultural Learning and provides the children of classes 9 upwards an opportunity to participate in domestic and international exchange programmes. The program is unique as the children stay with host families learning to appreciate all cultures and imbibe various life skills. They also learn to appreciate the good in all cultures.
Model United Nations (MUNs) conference is a platform which contributes to the holistic development of our students. Our students participate in MUNs organised by renowned institutions. The school also organises SAI MUN, a student-lead intra-school simulation where maximum children are given the chance to try their hands at being Ambassadors of different countries formulating solutions for grave global issues. This new-age global competitive drive attempts to build:
"LEARNING IS CREATION, NOT CONSUMPTION. KNOWLEDGE IS NOT SOMETHING A LEARNER ABSORBS, BUT SOMETHING A LEARNER CREATES." With this objective in mind our school gives umpteen opportunities to the students to create learning conducive environment through excursions.

Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar offers the invigorating opportunity to the students of classes IX- XII, to be part of The Interact Club. The Interact Club is a branch of The Rotary Club and is meant for students who want to connect with others in the community or school. Interact Club gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects. Along the way, Interactors develop their leadership skills and initiative while meeting new friends, through at least two major service projects a year; one that benefits their community and the other that encourages international understanding. It enables the young members of Interact Club to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding.
“Fit Kids Programme” is a unique programme for the children of classes Nursery to Senior Montessori. To instill the importance of good health and fitness amongst our tiny tots we train them under the expertise of our dietician Ms. Sonali Sachdeva (Clinical Nutritionist) who recommends diet plans for the children every month to follow at home; Yoga and Fitness expert, Mr. Vikram Bhawsar (Certified Yoga & Fitness Trainer), trains them through various activities like whirling, skipping, jumping, hopping, moving, shaking, stretching, dancing etc. All these activities make their childhood a joyful experience and the smiling faces of the children creates a happy atmosphere.
The school is planning to start the Bharat Scouts and Guides option to make our youth self-reliant. This movement is gender balanced, vibrant, responsive to trends. It provides the youngsters with a value-based, attractive and challenging programme through competent leaders, effective communication, optimum use of technology and efficient management.
An enhanced effort to bring back the students to school after a traumatic two-year experience of Covid lockdowns and restrictions, Fun Under the Sun, a the Summer Camp involving 24 activities both indoor and outdoor was organised in May 2022. More than 400 students from classes III – XII enrolled for this camp and were further diligently trained under 52 coaches. The students not only acquired skills in different areas but also learnt values like teamwork, coordination, punctuality and dedication.
The modern digital world leaves barely any time to pause, think and reflect on our rich Indian heritage and culture and the value system. The school has been organising a five-day residential Summer Camp in Indian Culture and Spirituality to acquaint the teenagers of our school with eminent personalities, their lives, philosophy and their contribution toward humanity. The camp invites many erudite speakers to share their wisdom on various disciplines of spiritual learning. A hands-on experience of a pious way of life is shared with the students in the form of Yoga, Meditation, Suprabhatam. Many interesting activities dot the day schedule to keep their interest alive.
The school, as an institution, tries to carry out community service in small ways. Some of these activities are designed to facilitate parents and students to contribute towards community service. This includes visits to orphanages, old age homes and even schools for the visually impaired. The students are sensitised towards this part of the society which is often neglected. Apart from this the school provides the mobile drinking water-van to quench thirst throughout the year.
