SPORTS
Sports forms an integral part of education in school. It is used as a tool to inculcate the right values in the lives of children and instil a sense of discipline in them. Students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar are fortunate to avail the facilities of the Sports’ Complex, grounds and courts. A team of experienced coaches and physical instructors toil hard to train our students to carve a niche for themselves not only at the inter-school and district levels but achieve success at the national and international levels too.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Literary Skill is a highly effective tool to help students converse in fluent English. Many activities, and games give multiple opportunities to kids who get over their inhibitions and gradually open up to speak confidently.
FUNCTIONS AND FESTIVALS
The Annual calendar is replete with innumerable celebrations of festivals and in-house functions which keep the students and teachers greatly interested like the Foundation Day, Annual Function, Independence Day, Republic Day, Swami’s birthday, Aradhana Divas, Farewell to class XII and many more.
CREATIVE ARTS
To enhance the aesthetic skills among students and under the able guidance of extremely talented teachers, the students are exposed to a variety of art forms like charcoal painting, oil painting, water painting, coffee painting, still painting, shadow etc. along with tie n dye, mirror work, fabric/ acrylic painting, screen printing mural work, traditional folk art such as Warli, Madhubani and Rajasthani. These add to the beauty of the school art gallery when eminent guests visit our school.
PERFORMING ARTS
The school comprises a brilliant team of musicians and singers making music the backbone of our school. From a 40-piece School Band to an over 80-piece orchestra called Sai Symphony, the well-trained students perform with various instruments like the sitar, guitar, percussion instruments, drums, Cajone box, trumpet, cymbals etc. with ease. Dance forms like semi-classical, folk dances, Kathak, Odissi with a theoretical background along with Contemporary and Free dance make a visual extravaganza during the annual Function.
FISTFUL OF LOVE
The students of all grades are encouraged to donate rice, grains, pulses etc., to the needy. This is done through an activity Fistful of Love, wherein they bring a fistful of a particular grain every week. This inculcates the values of caring and sharing, which is extended through visits to orphanages, old homes, home for the destitute.
